TRACK 1:

Green Transition in Companies & Organisations

Primary Focus:
How can manufacturing companies and other organisations transition to a Circular Economy?

Examples:
Value chain restructuring, local production, stock safety, green retail and environmental soundness.

Innovation Challenge:

How can we best design sustainable modern cities?

TRACK 3:

Re-Organising Work

Primary Focus:
How can we organise the future of work? What are new challenges, and solutions?

Examples:
Take advantage of the learnings during the crisis: Virtual and physical work environments. New digital tools. Eco-design and workspace equipment.

ESA Business Incubation Centre

Industry: Space Systems

Field of Expertise: Start-ups

Keywords: Space, SDGs, sustainability, satellite applications, space technology

Innovation Challenge:

The key question of the challenge is:

  • How can applications of satellite systems – Earth observation, navigation and positioning and/or telecommunications – be exploited to the benefit of a more sustainable society?

Wildcard

How Can We Create A Sustainable Circular Society?

Participants are allowed to pursue a Wildcard challenge, which means any challenge or idea that doesn’t fall under the three listed above. The aim is to allow all COVID- 19 and all sustainability related solutions, as long as they match the overall theme of the event; a sustainable circular society.
